Media Word Waves is a co-founder of a number of business community initiatives across Sussex, Kent, Surrey and Hampshire. 

Young Start-up Talent

Young Start-up Talent is an annual competition aimed at 16 to 21 year olds with an entrepreneurial flair for business and enterprise, which was initiated jointly by Lorraine Nugent of Media Word Waves and Matt Turner of Creative Pod.

The winner each year receives a prize fund of over £50,000 worth of products and services to help start their business.

The project boasts over 30 high profile national and local business sponsors including British Airways, Gatwick Airport, Lloyds TSB, Rawlinson Butler, Richard Place Dobson, Sussex Newspapers and Thales.

The initiative currently runs in three separate areas - The Gatwick Diamond, Brighton region, and West Kent region.

Business Builder Club

The Business Builder Club known as 'The Business Social', has established itself as a firm favourite, attracting the kind of forward thinking businesses that prefer the friendly, relaxing kind of networking.

This networking group was founded by Lorraine Nugent of Media Word Waves, along with fellow Directors Greg Rhodes and Tim Fifield.
