ADKICK Kiran gets a Kick out of Business Start Up
by South East PR agency Media Word Waves
This week we caught up with 24 year old, Kiran Reardon to hear about his time since the finalists of Young Start-up Talent (YST) and how life as a young entrepreneur is treating him. Kiran’s infectious enthusiasm for his business along with his impressively formed branding and website saw Kiran race to the finals where he pitched to our panel of professionals at Discovery Park regarding his online business – Adkick.
‘Adkick’ is a website that offers offline advertising space for other companies looking to market their products and services – the website offers both traditional and unique advertising space to meet a broad range of requirements.
During the YST process Kiran met CEO of Towers Design and award winning young entrepreneur – Ben Towers. As one of our East Kent judges and sponsors, Ben saw Kiran’s business plan flourish over the course of the initiative and stayed in touch following the showcase. Kiran now shares office space with Ben and has seen a multitude of benefits which have come from working closely with the successful entrepreneur. He now has a professional CRM system in place and has gained some fantastic networking opportunities. Kiran has said that he has been able to “see the bigger picture and take a step back from his business with the help of someone else’s perspective.”
He told us “Things can always go in a different direction – that’s what I’ve realised.” Reflecting on his time with YST Kiran added “If it wasn’t for Young Start-up Talent I’m not sure I would have continued with AdKick, but the whole experience pushes you to the next level and allows you to meet people who can really help you grow and teach you new things.”
As it stands, Kiran is focusing on gaining his own advertising space to rent out as well as advertising for others. To aid him in his future endeavours, Kent Foundation have assigned Kiran with a mentor to help the advertisement enthusiast sculpt and better his business. Kiran’s biggest piece of advice to fellow young entrepreneurs is to “get networking and meet as many new people as you can.”
By visiting www.adkick.co.uk you can view the diverse advertising space on offer, ranging from beer mats to bill boards by utilizing the easy-to-use search engine. With Kiran’s rentals multiplying and expanding with time, perhaps the biggest space to watch is this.
